C7 Corvette Shooting Brake Batwoman Batmobile

Batwoman’s newest ride, a Corvette shooting brake, might just be the slickest one yet in a long run of Batmobiles.

TV and movie cars have always held a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts. One of the most famous and most revered such vehicles is the Batmobile, driven by the comic book superhero Batman in multiple iterations of TV shows and big screen movies. The Batmobile has a rich history, and the latest installment has now arrived in the form of this interesting C7 Corvette shooting brake from CW’s Batwoman TV series.

The newest Batmobile isn’t particularly crazy like some of the big budget rides we’ve seen in recent movies starring the caped crusader, but it is definitely not your average, run-of-the-mill Corvette. It is possible that the Corvette shooting brake is some sort of modified version of Callaway’s Aerowagon, but it’s hard to tell in the spy video captured below.

Even if it is a Callaway, this C7 packs some serious exterior upgrades that make it instantly identifiable as a Batman/Woman’s transportation method of choice. That includes, of course, the bat symbol up front, a uniquely-styled front bumper, and a body kit complete with side skirts and a gigantic rear wing, which hangs audaciously off the top of the wagon portion of the Corvette.

Various red accents adorn the exterior as well, which help break up the sea of black that the car otherwise represents. And in case no one sees it coming, there’s also apparently red underglow for extra-added effect while Batwoman is rolling through Gotham looking to take down the baddies and their never-ending quest to commit evil.

It may not be the flashiest, most expensive, or even the most outrageous Batmobile in existence, but it is a Corvette, and that certainly makes this thing notable. The original Batmobile, and many of its successors, was a truly over-the-top creation designed to stick out. This C7 certainly carries on that tradition, but in a more modern, stylish manner, we’d say. And while it seem a bit simple compared to its big screen brethren, we’d take a Corvette shooting brake over those other fantasy machines any day of the week.
