2021 Corvette Visualizer Is Live With All the New Model Year Updates

The 2021 Corvette is an important model year for the C8 for a few reasons. Mostly because a lot of folks that missed out on a 2020 order are now looking to the new year, which will hopefully even out the supply and demand curve a bit. Those eagerly anticipating their new Corvette will be happy to know that there’s now a great way to play around with all the new model year changes and features, thanks to the launch of the 2021 Corvette visualizer.

Despite going into just its second year, there are a few changes in store for the 2021 Corvette. That includes the addition of two new exterior colors to the lineup – Silver Flare Metallic and Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat. Stinger stripes are now available in three new hues, including Carbon Flash/Edge Red, Carbon Flash/Edge Yellow, and Carbon Flash/Midnight Silver. Go with the full-length stripes, and you can opt for Blue, Orange, Red, and Yellow.

Inside the cabin, Sky Cool Gray/Yellow Strike is the sole new interior color option. But buyers will be most interested in the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, which is standard on all 2021 models.

GM’s Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension is also now available without having to tick the Z51 package, which will undoubtedly save some folks a few bucks. Finally, the Buckle to Drive feature, which won’t let the driver shift out of park until they’ve had their seat belt buckled for at least 20 seconds, is also standard.

The 2021 Corvette carries on with the same base MSRP of $59,995, which is great news for those who missed out the last time around. However, rumors suggest that option and trim level prices could rise. Regardless, it likely won’t make a bit of difference to those who’ve been waiting for their new C8 for what probably feels like forever.

The bad news is, for those that aren’t already in line for one, the wait for a new Corvette could still be quite long at this point. Until GM can finally crank out enough of these cars to catch up with demand, that’s destined to be the case. And the alternative – buying one second-hand – is a costly endeavor right now, too.
