ProCharged C8 Corvettes Hit the Track &Make Some Epic Noise

ProCharger claims that its Plus Version will add more than 225 HP to the total power output of the LT2 V8 motor. And it sounds intoxicating!

ProCharger recently dropped another teaser for its upcoming bolt-on on a supercharger package for the C8 Corvette. The video showcases two C8 Corvette test vehicles; one is a Torch Red model, and the other sports a murdered-out all-black paint scheme. The video’s visuals are accompanied by an intoxicating soundtrack, which is dominated by ProCharger’s whining supercharger assembly.

The cars are being driven around a race track for research and development purposes and possibly also for a bit of fun. The company used the video to announce that it is now accepting orders for the two products that it intends on introducing first. These will include a High Output Intercooled Tuner Kit and another package which is called the Plus Version.

So far, the company has not divulged many specifications of the base version, which will be priced at $11,899. ProCharger claims that its Plus Version ProCharged C8 will add more than 225 HP to the total power output of the LT2 V8 motor. This will be achieved with the help of an 8 to 9 psi boost, and the prices of this kit will start from $12,099.

Re-tuning the car’s 6.2-liter LT2 V8 motor is not an easy task. To address any possible cybersecurity issues, General Motors equipped the C8 Corvette with a practically unbreachable ECU that features state-of-the-art encryption. This limits the options for tuning companies, many of which have to turn to ProCharger Superchargers to achieve their performance goals.
