Paragon Performance Exhaust Finally Lets the C8 Corvette Breathe!
A 14 HP and 16 ft/lbs increase over stock, a lifetime warranty, and 40 pounds of weight savings come jam-packed with this sub-$2,000 option.
Finally thinking of pulling the trigger on an exhaust setup for your C8 Corvette? We get it. The glorious LT2 small-block is a hell of an engine. We would like to hear it a little better, as most of the time, the OEM unit does not do the trick. For others, this addition might seem unnecessary, but once you hear this V8 snap shifts off the rev-limiter, you’d probably change your mind.
The good folks over at Paragon Performance have just recently released their solution to this problem for the enthusiastic C8 owner. This is their in-house designed stainless steel catback system. Constructed of 3″ mandrel-bent tubing, this new unit allows not just for increased volume and character, but also performance.
Talks the talk and walks the walk
Horsepower figures are up with the dyno sheets showing a healthy 436 WHP and 421 WTQ. This is about a 14 horsepower and 16 ft/lbs increase over the stock unit. Not to mention, you’ll be saving a substantial amount of weight as well, about 45 pounds down from the OEM cans. Combine this with little to no drone while cruising, you have yourself a winner!
Each exhaust is backed by a lifetime warranty is built to order in about a month. Paragon Performance is one of the few brands to offer over 11 different exhaust tip finishes, allowing owners to personalize their exact setup.
The price of this catback system is $1,899 with shipping included. We think that is a solid deal for the product you are receiving, especially considering the warranty. For those savvy with a wrench, the install of this exhaust may be completed in an afternoon. However, if the idea of removing your bumper, trunk lining, AFM, and NPP valves seems a bit of a stretch, there is no reason to not get this professionally installed.
