Jeff Gordon’s C6 ZR1 Heads Back to the Auction Block With 835 Miles

One of just 502 produced in Cyber Gray Metallic, this 2009 C6 ZR1 is a special Corvette that ticks all the boxes.

To us, every C6 ZR1 Corvette is special. After all, this was a car that blew everyone’s collective minds when it launched back in 2009, offering more horsepower than all but the most expensive supercars at the time. But this particular C6 ZR1 is a bit more special than most because it was delivered new to a guy named Jeff Gordon, who happens to be a rather famous NASCAR driver. The car was sold back in 2019 for charity, but now, it’s up for grabs once again via Bring a Trailer.

Aside from its celebrity ties, this Corvette is special for a number of other reasons, too. For starters, it has just 835 miles on the clock, and its Cyber Gray Metallic hue makes it one of just 502 finished in that particular color for the 2009 model year. As one might imagine, it’s also in showroom fresh condition thanks to that incredibly low mileage total and years of proper care.

It’s also bone stock, which means that it’s a nice collector’s item, though we personally wouldn’t be able to resist unleashing all 638 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8, which will propel the car all the way up to 205 miles-per-hour via an old fashioned six-speed manual transmission.

The rest of this ZR1 is also loaded with goodies, including the 3ZR Premium Equipment Group, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Magnetic Select Ride Control, and a limited-slip differential, to name a few. It sports a host of carbon fiber parts as well, including the hood (with that cool polycarbonate window), fenders, floor panels, roof, roof bow, splitter, and rocker panels. Plus, we’ve always been fans of this gen ZR1’s sweet aluminum wheel design.

The Ebony leather interior looks every bit as pristine as the exterior and touts plenty of amenities including the Memory Package, heated power-adjustable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bose premium sound system, and plenty of carbon-fiber trim.

This C6 Corvette ZR1 certainly has everything a collector would want from such a car, including a star-studded ownership history, low miles, stellar condition, and historical prominence. Thus, we look forward to seeing just how high the winning bid goes on this special slice of Corvette history.
