You might want to sit down for this… Pratt & Miller is selling the most successful C7.R Chassis for a whopping $950K.

After securing yet another monumental victory at the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship, the Corvette racing program has now been sold to Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Corporation, which procured the racing program $115 million. Now C8 customers can also get a piece of Corvette’s glorious motorsport heritage.

The Golden Bow Tie brand recently introduced the Center Hood Jake Graphics package for all C8 Corvette models. The decals add race-inspired styling to the mid-engine sports car, but if you are in the market for something more substantial, then Pratt & Miller has an exciting proposition for you.

The Michigan-based engineering firm is selling a 2014 Corvette C7.R for a sum of $950,000. This particular race car was the third chassis Pratt & Miller produced. The No. 3 Corvette C7.R earned several motorsport accolades throughout its racing tenure including consecutive wins at Long Beach and Laguna Seca back in 2014.

The car also helped Corvette Racing win Mosport and 6 Hours of the Glen in the same year and went on to dominate the 12 Hours of Sebring and even won the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2015. In our opinion, C7.R’s exorbitant price tag is definitely justified considering its impressive racing pedigree.

Pratt & Miller has enlisted the services of California-based car dealer Fantasy Junction to help facilitate the sale of its lauded race car. Pratt & Miller swapped the old engine for a brand new unit, which also powers the current C8.R models. Other than the engine, the car continues to be in its original racing spec.

In C8.R Corvettes, the race-tuned 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 motor produces 500 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque. Pratt & Miller claim that their new Small Block 5.5-liter V8 produces 574 HP in the C7.R. The drivetrain of the C7.R also features a six-speed sequential transaxle, but if you are looking for creature comforts, then this is not the car for you.

The C7.R gets a stripped-down race-spec interior that comes equipped with a RECARO racing seat. Pratt & Miller will generously throw in plenty of spares including equipment like body panels, Michelin slick tires, suspension parts, and even a set of racing wheels.
