Chevy Drops 2023 Z06 Teaser Revealing 8,500 RPM Redline! (Sorry, Ford)

And yes, that’s C8 Corvette Queen Emelia Hartford riding in a 2023 Z06 prototype. I imagine we’ll all be sharing her reaction past eight grand.

Today Chevrolet dropped a new teaser video for the forthcoming eighth-generation Corvette Z06. As you probably know already, the 2023 Z06 debuts next Tuesday, October 26, at 12Noon EDT, followed by a four-day in-person viewing event at the Petersen Auto Museum in Los Angeles.

As part of the Z06’s debut, Chevrolet plans to show a “feature film” about making the new Z06 followed by a panelist discussion. It’s this film from which today’s teaser draws. But, we do know there will be appearances by Corvette engineers, Corvette Racing drivers, Devin Booker, and the queen of C8 Corvettes, Emelia Hartford.

BUT perhaps MOST exciting out of everything we’re seeing today is around the 16-second mark where there’s an insert shot of the gauge cluster…

Looks like we’re getting an 8,500 redline, folks. Although there is some debate about the redline actually being 8,600 RPM based on GM’s wording on social media this morning. Regardless, either redline is exciting. It also, and let’s assume this is intentional, dethrones Ford’s Shelby GT350 as having the highest revving American V8.
