Not a fan of radically modified ‘Vettes? Then this gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Corvette might impress you with its subtle upgrades.

Like most classic cars, hunting down a good example of the first-gen ‘Vette is no easy feat, especially one that is still in its original spec. We recently reported on CR Coachworks’ Retrovette, which is an elegant restomod that employs a bespoke C1 Corvette-inspired carbon fiber body and the underpinnings of a 2013 Z06. However, if you’re not a fan of such radical restomods, then this beautiful 1960 Chevrolet Corvette might impress you with its subtle upgrades.

The car was fully restored in 2020, and the process was completed over 33 months. The 1960 Corvette was the last model year to sport the chrome headlamp bezels and the notable chrome “teeth” grille. The sports car flaunts a beautiful Tasco Turquoise paint job which was finished last year after the bodywork was stripped down to bare fiberglass to achieve ”show quality.” This beautiful roadster is currently up for sale on the auction website Hemmings.

Under the hood, we find a 327 motor from the 1965 era, which comes complete with a dual-quad induction system. According to the seller, the motor was professionally rebuilt and can produce around 300 HP of maximum power. Even with 27,950 miles on the odometer, the seller claims that his 1960 Corvette has only been driven 1000 miles (approximately) since the motor was installed back in 2015.

The motor comes mated to a four-speed manual gearbox, and an aluminum radiator was installed to eliminate any overheating issues. A 4.11-geared Positraction rear axle is also part of the ensemble. The car sits on a rust-free chassis, and last year, new brake lines were installed in addition to new front disc brakes. This 1960 Corvette rides on a set of stock-style wheels, which are wrapped in whitewall tires.

The Corvette gets a black vinyl interior and a convertible top that was sourced from Al Knoch. The buyer will also get a showroom-condition factory hardtop that sports matching paintwork. The gauge cluster and dashboard inserts were also repainted to match the original spec. The online auction ends in just three days, and right now, the leading bid stands at $60,000.
