This twin-turbo C7 Corvette was professionally built and sold for a relatively bargain price.

If there’s a common thread among enthusiasts, it’s that most of us spend countless dollars modifying our vehicles in a never-ending process. In the Corvette world, many of those modifications are of the performance variety, and those that get bitten by the horsepower bug can seemingly never get enough. Problem is, modifying a car is expensive, and financially speaking, it makes more sense to buy someone else’s at a discount. It’s hard to say if this twin-turbo C7 Corvette up for grabs at Bring a Trailer will represent a bargain, but we doubt the seller will recoup their big investment in this wickedly quick machine.

On the outside, this twin-turbo C7 Corvette doesn’t look too out of the ordinary, but it does sport a few changes worth noting. That includes a carbon-fiber hood, a chrome grille and taillight surrounds, LMR 800 Twin Turbo badging, and chrome 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Forgeline wheels wrapped with 245/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires in the front and 305/30 Toyo Proxes R rubber in the back.

Inside the cabin, this Corvette is mostly stock, but does sport stainless steel accents and red LED lighting to go along with loads of factory goodies including heated and ventilated Adrenaline Red leather seats with Nappa leather inserts, the memory package, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, and a Bose 10-speaker audio system.

The real story here is what lies under the hood, however – GM’s 6.2-liter LT1 V8, which has been modified by Late Model Racecraft with its 800 horsepower package. To achieve that lofty figure, LMR adds two Precision 62/66mm ball-bearing turbochargers, Precision 38mm wastegates, a TiAL blow-off valve, an LMR oil scavenging pump system with an aluminum sump tank, an LMR crankcase breather system, a custom boost controller, replacement pistons, and new exhaust valves.

On the dyno, this combination laid down 836 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, which it sends to the rear wheels via a 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential. Professionally built and packing more than enough power to have some fun on the street, this twin-turbo C7 Corvette certainly looks like a nice buy for anyone wanting a ready-built racer.

All of this went to a new buyer for the low-low price of $58,000. You can’t build one yourself for that price, so we call it a bargain!
