This has led to a burgeoning aftermarket and this hobby that we know and love, as well as some seriously amazing power adders. In the Corvette world, there are many ways to add considerable performance to one’s ride, no matter the generation, which is why we decided to compile our list of the top 5 Corvette power adders for your convenience.

In our definition, Corvette power adders are generally relegated to two things – turbochargers and superchargers. There are many other performance upgrades out there in the world, but if you want to add hundreds of horsepower in one fell swoop, there’s arguably no better way to do it.

Edelbrock E-Force

Edelbrock is one of the oldest and most respected names in the world of automotive performance, which is precisely why a lot of Corvette Forum members have sought out upgrades from that particular source. The E-Force supercharger kit is one of the more popular offerings from Edelbrock, providing reliable power increases for multiple generations and configurations of America’s sports car, even those that have received engine swaps.

ProCharger

ProCharger has also been in the business of building superchargers for the Corvette for many years now, and has plenty of offerings in that particular department. Centrifugal superchargers are a bit different and more turbo-like, which some prefer, and ProCharger makes some of the best ones out there for the C4-C8, as well as carbureted vehicles to boot.

A&A Superchargers

A&A has a fantastic reputation among Corvette Forum members for a good reason – its supercharger kits for the C5-C7 generation Corvette are among the best on the market. Buyers can choose their preferred level of craziness, with packages ranging from 550 horsepower up to 1,200+, and they’ve been building and testing them for over 15 years now. A&A’s kits are also quite comprehensive and come with everything one needs to turn their daily into a tire-shredding beast.

ETS Turbo Kit

Extreme Turbo Systems currently makes just one turbo kit for the current-gen C8 Corvette, but it’s a darn good one. The company offers three different power levels – capable of supporting 1,200, 1,500, and 2,000 wheel horsepower, depending on how crazy one wants to get. Even the lesser kit is more than enough for the street, and can even run with stock clutches, albeit up to 700 whp. Upgrade those units, the bottom end, and the fuel system, and the sky is quite literally the limit.

LMR Turbo Kit

Late Model Racecraft has been building twin turbo kits for the C8 Corvette (along with pretty much every other generation) since the car rolled off the assembly line, and it has also helped put together some turbocharged builds for high-profile YouTubers, too. The results have been impressive, and LMR has a solid reputation within the Corvette community for its high quality work, too.
