Earlier last month, we reported on an exquisite C7 Corvette restomod where we discussed why modern parts immensely improve the ownership experience of these retro-futuristic creations. We recently came across an LS3-powered Corvette convertible, which is up for sale on the popular digital auction platform Bring a Trailer. The auction ends in just seven days, and right now, the highest bid stands at $73,000.

Let’s take a quick look at what this 1963 C2 Corvette restomod has to offer for that kind of money. We find a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 motor under the hood of this C2 Corvette convertible, and the powerplant could churn out 430 HP of maximum power in its factory spec. The ensemble also includes performance upgrades like Velocity sheet metal intake, Stage 3 Brian Tooley cam, and Be Cool radiator with dual electric fans.

A 5-speed Tremec TKO600 manual gearbox sends power to the rear wheels via a Dana 44 Rear Axle with a 3.56 gear ratio. The gorgeous 1963 Corvette convertible restomod rides on a Coffman C2 custom chassis. The car also gets Thunder Chamber side pipes, and a Z06 brake setup provides the stopping power. The sports car also gets Viking coilovers that surely improve its handling characteristics.

The restomod’s bodywork flaunts a beautiful silver blue paint job. The convertible sports car also gets a set of 18- and 19-inch Budnik forged alloy wheels wrapped in 275/35 and 325/30 Michelin Pilots Super Sport tires, respectively. As for creature comforts, the cockpit houses a pair of low-back leather bucket seats.

The cabin also gets modern amenities like vintage air conditioning and a Corvette radio with USB connectivity. BaT user maxoverdrive is the seller of this Corvette restomod. The seller also clarified that this C2 Corvette restomod has power windows. Furthermore, the dashboard flaunts a tasteful aluminum trim.

According to the listing, this car’s been in possession of the current owner since August 2020, during which time it was driven around 400 miles. The exact mileage remains unknown, but the car only has 900 miles on the odometer.
