Corvettes at Carlisle

‘Corvettes for Chip’ raises awareness and money for the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation with, you guessed it, amazing Corvettes.

The Carlisle GM Nationals is a premier event that features over 1,000 show cars and trucks at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. Sponsored by the National Parts Depot, this year’s event is scheduled for June 24 and 25. In addition to many great attractions, the event provides support for charity causes, including the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF).

The CMAF returns to the National Parts Depot Showfield as part of Corvettes for Chip. Hosted in partnership with the York County Corvette Club, the event is an annual car show.  This year’s event includes raffles, 50/50 drawings, and a baked goods sale. Additionally, it features some of the nicest Corvettes in the region. Registration to the Fun Field includes full access to the Carlisle GM Nationals for two. Plus you’ll have an opportunity to have your Corvette judged, a special CMAF pin, and more. Finally, everyone who registers receives a free guided tour of the Miller Family Garage during the event. This garage contains classic, rare, and unique rides; primarily Corvettes, but other collectible show cars as well.

For those who attend Corvettes for Chip, it’s also a chance to enjoy the GM Nationals. Previously mentioned are the different types of cars and trucks that may be on-site, but specific displays include 40 Years of the 3rd Gens, 60 Years of the Nova/Chevy II, 40 Years of the S-10, plus the annual Solid Lifter Showroom.

About Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation

CMAF

Founded after Chip Miller’s death in 2004, CMAF empowers people with the knowledge and understanding of Amyloidosis for earlier detection. The organization works to ensure better quality of life and to help science find cures. Amyloidosis is a rare disease that develops when amyloid proteins accumulate in the body’s organs and tissue. 3,000 cases are diagnosed annually but the disease is rare enough that usually by the time it’s detected, it’s too late. This was the case for Chip and why the CMAF hosts events like Corvettes for Chip. The goal is to not only raise money for those affected but to raise awareness for it too.
