Euro-inspired Caravaggio Unica Series 1 C8 Corvette is a totally customizable, 1-of-30, carbon fiber-bodied creation.
Most Corvette fans have at least heard of Caravaggio, a Canadian tuner that has been building bespoke parts and turnkey versions of the fiberglass sports car for some time now. Now, it’s adding the new Caravaggio Unica Series 1 C8 Corvette to its offerings, a truly special, one-off, fully-customizable machine with a carbon-fiber body that’s pieced together much like a fine coachbuilt car from the past – for a price, of course.
Customers can start with either a base Stingray or Z06, but from there, no two Caravaggio Unica Series 1 Corvettes will be the same, according to the company. That’s because buyers have a nearly limitless list of options to choose from, which they can sift through during their private consultation with a representative.
Every single little interior and exterior color, fabric, and finish can be tailored to a customer’s liking, with the only limitation being that person’s imagination. Caravaggio says that it can paint the car “almost any color in the world,” while custom stripes can also be added for a bit more flair. That look can also carry over to the interior if the customer wishes, along with various types of trim, different color stitching, and even thumb grips for the steering wheel.
The Unica Series 1 already looks different from any other C8 out there thanks to its custom carbon fiber body, which adds a bit of Euro flair to the decidedly American product and saves 40 pounds to boot. For those that want to show it off in style, Caravaggio is building five models with an exposed carbon body, which is a nice touch, while performance upgrades are also available, ranging from a supercharger to Brembo brakes and pretty much everything in between.
As one might imagine by now, the Unica Series 1 is both expensive and exclusive. Caravaggio is only building a grand total of 30 of these bespoke machines, and pricing starts out at $110,000 – minus the cost of the C8 itself. But for those that want a C8 that’s a bit more exotic, rare, and personalized, this certainly looks like the way to go.
