C8 Corvette Driver Attempts to Avoid Traffic by Driving Across Median, Trashes Car Instead

The C8 Corvette has only been around for a few years now, but it wasn’t long before we started seeing them crash into other vehicles and various obstacles, proving to be a bit too much car for a lot of folks. That’s par for the course when it comes to sports cars, of course, but it seems as if every time someone tries to do something stupid in a C8 Corvette, it makes headlines. The latest example of this comes to us from from TikToker JackPressleyBond, who spotted a C8 driver doing something incredibly stupid, with predictable results.

While sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic like many of us do on a regular basis, it seems as if the Corvette driver got a little impatient and decided that he was going to circumvent the pileup by driving through a grassy median. Other cars were apparently doing the same thing before his attempt, including a Chevy Silverado pickup that’s directly in front of him. Problem is, this particular median is a bit steep, with a ditch in the center.

That means the low-slung C8 Corvette is pretty much doomed, as any rational person might be able to figure out. But this C8 driver isn’t deterred, and drives forward into the ditch, at which point he gets stuck. That only hardens the driver’s resolve, however, as he stabs the gas and painfully drags the cable from the guard rail along with him, ruining the car’s lower rear fascia in the process. He doesn’t seem to care, however, as he just keeps driving down the median as if nothing happened.

The narrator of the video helps make this painful incident a legit comedy, however, as he repeatedly yells “no, gramps!” over and over, adding a bit of entertaining commentary to the mix. He’s truly in shock by the whole thing, and who can blame him? After all, we’ve seen some stupid things done with C8 Corvettes recently, but this might just take the cake.
