Another Corvette Boat Emerges as a Supercar for the Water

This new Corvette boat blends in a little Ferrari styling but looks like one heck of a good time.

We’ve seen more than our fair share of strange trends over the years, many of which have involved the Corvette. Some come and go in a matter of months or years, but the idea of a Corvette boat just keeps popping back up. Years ago, a company actually built a licensed Corvette watercraft, and we’ve seen at least one enterprising individual piece together their own in recent times. Now, another Corvette boat has emerged from Dubai Water Sport Rentals, and YouTuber Supercar Blondie – otherwise known as Alexandra Hirschi – recently got to take one out for a spin.

This new Corvette boat isn’t a total ripoff of GM’s legendary sports car, but rather, it blends some Ferrari styling in there for a more exotic look. There are no doors, as occupants are required to step in to enter the cabin, but the interior looks more like a car than a boat, with a steering wheel and gas pedal, but there’s no brake, of course. The sporty Corvette boat does have a windshield wiper to aid visibility, as well as the requisite lighting and even a GPS system so you don’t get lost out on the water.

As far as power goes, well, there isn’t much information given other than the fact that this Corvette-inspired boat is powered by a 1.8-liter engine of some type, which propels the watercraft to speeds up to 62 miles per hour, which is decent. On the plus side, since you’re sitting inside the cockpit, you’re not going to get quite as wet as you would on something like a jet ski.

Another nice thing about this unique boat is that you’re going to draw a ton of attention out on the water, while more importantly having a heck of a good time from the looks of it. According to Hirschi, it costs around $700 an hour to rent one of these in the billionaire playground of Dubai, or you can just buy one and add it to your collection for $40,000-$50,000, which actually seems quite reasonable.
