2024 Corvette Rumored to Get Interior Refresh With Small Improvements
2024 Corvette is set to receive a few changes inside the cabin, but they won’t exactly reinvent the wheel.
The C8 Corvette has already entered its fourth year of production for the 2023 model year, which is a bit hard to believe. But time flies as they say, and that’s particularly true in the automotive world, where vehicles are constantly receiving some sort of refresh every few years. The eighth-generation iteration of General Motors’ iconic sports car has received a few minor tweaks here and there, but according to GM Authority, the 2024 Corvette could potentially be treated to an interior refresh, too.
According to this report, the 2024 Corvette cabin will receive a few minor tweaks as a result of owner feedback, including the addition of a passenger-side grab handle similar to the one found in the C7, as well as some changes for the car’s built-in phone charger. That unit recently received a notification feature for those exiting the car without their phones via an over-the-air update, though it’s still in a somewhat strange location between the seats that’s hard to access. Thus, it may wind up either being relocated altogether, or at least enhanced in some way to compensate for its awkward location.
Other possible changes including relocating or revamping the C8’s famous “waterfall” of buttons in the center console, as well as the addition of a new digital dash and/or display screen, new color options, and various other little tweaks and updates. Nothing that will exactly reinvent the wheel, but then again, that’s precisely what the word “refresh” means in the automotive world.
Minor tweaks – such as added and deleted options and colors – have been the hallmark of changing over model years for the C8 Corvette thus far, with the addition of a few cool packages as well. However, the Z06 is slated to launch soon for the 2023 model year, which is the biggest change to the C8 yet. As for when America’s mid-engine sports car might receive some sort of exterior update, well, that much remains a mystery – for now.
