New Forgedlite C8 Z06 Wheels Offer a Lighter, Better Fitting Alternative to OEM

These brand-new Forgedlite C8 Z06 wheels offer a bit upgrade over OEM in terms of both weight and fitment.

When it comes to the 2023 Corvette Z06, it’s hard to find any sort of bone to pick, but that’s to be expected for such an impressive machine. The high-revving, sweet-sounding mid-engine sports car sells for a fraction of exotics with similar performance, and it looks fantastic, meaning that the only real downside is how difficult (or expensive, given markups and secondary values) it can be to obtain one at the moment. However, for Navy veteran and NASCAR racer Jesse Iwuji, his stock C8 Z06 wheels just didn’t quite fit well enough for his taste, so he teamed up with Forgedlite to come up with a solution.

After taking many measurements to ensure the new wheels would fit even with the factory carbon ceramic brakes, Forgedlite got to work designing its new C8 Z06 wheels using CAD, with a goal of making them as light as humanly possible – at least as light as a 21×13-inch wheel can possibly be. In the case of the set going on Iwuji’s car, they also look pretty fantastic finished in bronze, though Forgedlite offers an array of choices in that regard.

The results of that work speak for themselves, as this set of wheels fits the Z06 perfectly. As Iwuji notes, he takes his car to both road courses and the drag strip on a regular basis, so he needed something lighter and also quite durable, which makes these forged units the perfect match. But even for those that don’t engage in such activities, it’s hard to deny that the Forgedlites simply fit better than the OEM units.

Though Iwuji worked with Forgedlite to create this custom set of C8 Z06 wheels, they’re also now available to the public in a variety of both solid colors and brushed transparent finishes. Made from forged 6061-T6 aluminum, the monoblock wheels can be had in diameters ranging from 19-21 inches and widths from 10-13 inches, perfect for suiting all manner of tastes. Personally, we think that Iwuji’s new shoes look fantastic, and we can’t wait to see some other color combinations in the future.
