A host of unique touches and performance upgrades make this rare Lingenfelter Cunningham 60th Anniversary Corvette truly special.

Briggs Cunningham is one of the few iconic outfits associated with Chevrolet’s Corvette, having secured the model’s very first class win at Le Mans back in 1960. To celebrate this historic occasion, Lingenfelter produced a grand total of 60 C8 Cunningham Corvettes with a host of unique touches, which were then sold to the general public. This particular Lingenfelter Cunningham 60th Anniversary Corvette listed at Bring a Trailer is one of that small lot, and it’s the first one we’ve seen pop up for sale on the second try market thus far.

On the outside, the Lingenfelter Cunningham 60th Anniversary Corvette is finished in Arctic White with a pair of racing stripes, a body-color roof panel, and a spare transparent piece for those that prefer that sort of look. The rear wing is a Lingenfelter piece, complete with number 3 roundels to pay homage to the Le Mans-winning Briggs Cunningham C1. The factory wheels have also been replaced with a set of staggered 20- and 21-inch forged aluminum HRE wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Equipped with the Z51 Performance Package, this limited-edition model features a revised version of the factory suspension with magnetic dampers that has been modified to make the car sit lower to the ground. A set of Alcon calipers was also added to the braking system to help slow the car down a bit quicker than stock. This particular example features a Tension Blue and Twilight Blue interior theme with embroidered headrests, which tout the fact that this is just the third of 60 total Cunningham C8 Corvettes produced. Otherwise, everything inside the cabin is pretty much as it was when the car emerged from the assembly line, with nice amenities such as a 14-speaker Bose sound system and a combination of suede and leather covering various surfaces.

Peek under the rear glass, and you’ll notice that the C8’s 6.2-liter LT2 V8 has been modified by Lingenfelter as well. The tuner added a carbon-fiber intake manifold, a Corsa Sport airbox, headers, and exhaust system to the mix, which results in a higher output of 600 horsepower and 580 pound-feet of torque, which flows to the rear wheels via a Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential.

With an MSRP of $85,325 before any of these Lingenfelter modifications were made, one would imagine that this car would garner a pretty hefty price at auction, but as of this writing, it has just crested the $70k mark. However, there are a few days left to go, and we imagine that things will begin to pick up as the hammer gets closer to falling on this particular auction.
