It is time for our second installment in the CorvetteForum Curated series. Once again, we rounded up some of the hottest news, videos, and CorvetteForum threads of the week. And now that we are into the second week of the year, the general post-holiday malaise is wearing off. That means things are starting to heat up again in the world of Corvette. One of the most beloved Corvette models was rescued after rotting away for 20 years, the Corvette Museum announced some big plans to celebrate its 70-year anniversary, and the date has finally been set for the long-awaited E-Ray debut. And that isn’t even all of it. The weekend is almost here, so spend a few minutes with us looking back at some of the top Corvette news items you may have missed in the last seven days.
Corvette Named Best Automotive Investment

Must Watch Video: Six Second Split Window
One of the most iconic Corvettes ever made was the 1963 split window. Despite their popularity and value some still fall through the cracks. This particular car has not seen sunlight in over 20 years as it sat in a basement. But this is no ordinary restoration project. This car is going to be getting a huge 711 cubic inch Hemi with a couple of turbos for good measure. The goal is to turn this into a six second drag car.

Star Studded Celebration: Corvette Museum Turns 70
The Corvette Museum is set to celebrate its platinum jubilee this year. Anything that lasts for 70 years is worth celebrating by pulling out all the stops and that is exactly what the Corvette Museum is doing. One highlight is going to be Custom CARisma: The Legendary Creations of Carl Casper. This exhibit will be on display from March 10, 2023, to January 24, 2024. Some of Casper’s most famous creations will be on display including the Batmobile from the 1992 Batman Returns film. Read all about the anniversary HERE.
Must Watch Video: C6 Retro Review
Can the C6 really be nearly 20 years old already? Yup. This review of the then all-new Corvette was originally aired by Motor Week back on August 31, 2004. However, the video was just released to YouTube a couple days ago. During testing they clocked the new Corvette to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and 13.2 in the quarter mile. And while not as quick as the new C8, those are still solid numbers. The C6 remains a fantastic performance car bargain. This video is a great reminder of when it all started.
Can’t Miss This: Corvette E-Ray Debut on January 17
We can pretty much guarantee that the E-Ray reveal will be part of the CorvetteForum Curated series next week. Just the announcement of the debut date was huge news, so we included it here just in case you somehow missed it. This is some of the biggest news in Corvette history.
