C8 Corvette Driver Hits Curb

This C8 Corvette driver made one bad decision that led to some broken parts and a lifetime of embarrassment.

We can certainly understand the appeal of wanting to show off in your new sports car, perhaps by cruising around at low speed or ripping off some smoky burnouts for an adoring crowd. Of course, the latter sort of activity is generally frowned upon in a public setting, though that hasn’t really ever stopped anyone from doing it. Problem is, there are a lot of variables – not to mention obstacles – that oftentimes get in the way, and every so often, they can also ruin the fun. At least, that was the case recently when this C8 Corvette driver tried to rip off some donuts in front of a rowdy crowd.

There was just one tiny problem with this attempt, however – the C8 Corvette driver, in this case, clearly doesn’t know how to do that. Instead, they smash into a curb while trying to break traction and do a donut right in the middle of an intersection, which is surrounded by people with their phones out, frantically trying to record the action. Instead, they capture one of the world’s most embarrassing moments on film, which may be an even better outcome, we suppose.

Either way, the rear passenger side wheel is suddenly sitting at the wrong angle thanks to a pretty serious impact, which likely means that some suspension components located behind it were broken in the process. Perhaps even worse, the entire thing is now immortalized forever on the internet, which means that it’s probably best to just sell the car and start over rather than risk being known as “that guy” by a sea of rightfully judgmental folks.

Above all, of course, this video is just further proof that just because you can afford something like a Corvette, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you know how to drive it. It’s also a great reminder that doing silly things like this on public roads isn’t just dangerous for those around you – it’s also a potential embarrassment just waiting to happen.
