This 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition was acquired via museum delivery, which makes us rather jealous.
Following a bit of a delay, the 70th Anniversary package is now available for the 2023 Corvette, adding a host of niceties to the C8 for $5,995. The package is also available on the brand new Z06, which is quite the enticing – if not elusive combination. After all, the 2023 Z06 is already in high demand, and high-spec cars are going to be quite rare, at least in the car’s very first model year. Regardless, Corvette Forum member, Corvette aficionado, and VIN Sisters owner Michelle Sadler recently took delivery of her 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition at the National Corvette Museum, and it’s quite the stunner.
Longtime Corvette Forum readers/members are undoubtedly familiar with Sadler, who first fell in love with the Corvette when she spotted a split-window C2 at the Pomona Swap Meet way back in 1982. She purchased that car on the spot, along with a 1958 model, back when these cars could be had for very reasonable prices. Years later, she wound up treating the C2 to a restoration, taking it back to its original condition and paint color.
What’s particularly cool about that car, however, is that Sadler and her husband wound up matching the C2’s VIN with a brand new at the time C7, and then, a C8 as well. Now, she’s added the latest and greatest version of America’s sports car to her garage – this gorgeous 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition, and taking delivery of it at the National Corvette Museum is just icing on the cake. (Alas, the new Z06 isn’t a matching VIN despite the request, but GM rewarded Sadler by offering her VIN 00025 instead!)
The new and special package adds a host of elements to the Z06 consisting of Satin Graphite forged aluminum wheels with red stripes and commemorative wheel center caps, red-painted calipers, a black rear fascia/roof storage protector with an embroidered crossed flags logo, Ceramic White leather seats with red stitching and Torch Red seat belts, a two-piece set of leather travel bags with red stitching and the 70th Anniversary logo, exterior badging, wheel caps, seats, steering wheel, and sill plates with the same logo, and a unique VIN. Full length dual racing stripes are also available, but Sadler opted to forgo them on her build.
Regardless, this Z06 is certainly one of the nicest ones we’ve seen anyone take delivery of thus far, but given Sadler’s immaculate taste in Corvettes, that doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
