Little Red Corvette: The Most Popular Corvette Colors for 2023
Two shades of red were among the top five most popular Corvette colors for 2023.
Our friends over at GM Authority have released a list of the most popular Corvette colors in 2023. And frankly, nothing here should come as much of a surprise. During the 2023 model year a total of 14 different paint colors were offered for the C8 Stingray and Z06. And the most popular of all was Torch Red. Nearly 15 percent of all Corvettes were painted this color. It has been the most popular color every year since the debut of the C8. Arctic White came in second place in 2023 with 13.4 percent of cars being delivered in that color. Black rounded out the top three at 11.9 percent.
Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat was the fourth most popular Corvette color in 2023 with 10.8 percent of owners going for this option. That means that over 25 percent of all Corvettes sold in 2023 were painted a shade of red. It is interesting that so many decided to go for Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat considering that at $995 it is tied for the most expensive paint color option with Amplify Orange Tintcoat. On the other hand it is not surprising because that deep red color looks fantastic on the C8 Corvette.

2024 Changes
Changes are coming to the Corvette lineup in 2024. The biggest change of course will be the E-Ray model that will begin to land in customer driveways. But the colors are changing as well. Don’t worry Torch Red will still be an option. But Caffeine Metallic, Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic, and White Pearl Metallic Tricoat will all be dropped. Riptide Blue Metallic (color code GJV), Cacti Green (GVR) and Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat (GXA) will replace them. Also, Carbon Flash Metallic was only available in 2023 on cars that also were ordered with the 70th Anniversary Special Edition Package. But in 2024 that color will be available across all Corvette models and trim levels. Will it be the top color in 2024? If we were to bet, we would still put our money on Torch Red.
