2024 Corvette Order Constraints Ease Somewhat in Latest Cycle
For January, the list of 2024 Corvette order constraints isn’t terribly long, and there’s at least one surprising omission.
Shortly after the C8 Corvette Stingray’s launch, the newly mid-engine-powered sports car was facing the wrath of everything from production challenges to supply chain issues, which was of course the case with pretty much ever desirable vehicle on the planet. However, with 2024 Corvette production underway – years after that debut occurred – GM and C8 buyers are still facing constraints that limit the precise number of certain features in terms of availability. On the bright side, things have certainly improved as of late, but the 2024 Corvette is still facing a few order constraints in the January cycle that just kicked off last week, according to Corvette Blogger.
First up, we have the 2024 Corvette Stingray, which has the most order constraints of any 2024 Corvette variant. Those seeking out a new Stingray will find issues with an array of options – a list that includes the Gloss Black Forged Wheels, which is a bit puzzling considering that GM has the same style wheel in other colors available with no constraint. Otherwise, current constraints include the Tech Bronze package and standalone wheel option, as well as the Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace and the Highwing finished in body color.
It’s also worth noting that according to this report, Chevy dealers have been assigned different percentages in terms of the base Stingray and those equipped with the Z51 Performance Package. Some dealers will get a higher percentage of one versus the other, and even though there’s likely some sort of reason for this, it isn’t clear at the moment.

- Q9I Gloss Black Forged Wheels – (176)(4)]
- PCX – Tech Bronze Package
- 5DG – Tech Bronze Wheels
- SLN – Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace
- 5ZU – Stingray Highwing in Body Color
- Z51 – Performance Package – (879)(21)
- Non Z51 – (719)(18)
Moving on to the Z06, we can see that there’s just one constraint in this monthly ordering cycle – the Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace, which is somewhat surprising. Those that want the highly-coveted Z07 Performance Package can get it along with all of the other previously-constrained options, though according to this report, the total number of Z06s dealers can order this go-round is lower than December.

As for the electrified E-Ray, the Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace is the sole constraint listed here, but no allocations were apparently gifted to dealers, so it’s sort of a moot point.

With the number of C8 order constraints seemingly getting lower as time goes by, those seeking out specific options should find this process to be far easier for now, and hopefully the situation will only improve in the coming months. Regardless, the next 2024 Corvette order cycle is scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 15 when allocations are handed out, followed by ordering and a fresh list of constraints on February 22 – so we’ll be keeping an eye out to see what, if anything, changes in a few weeks.
